On why he chose Kentucky?
?The whole recruiting process was crazy. Kentucky came along late, but they came along just in time. I had committed to Arizona State but I had a chance to see what football was like in the SEC. The fan support in Lexington was just something I couldn?t pass up. The people are drawn to UK and it?s a great experience.?
On his role with the receivers?
?I think I can add something to the guys that are already here. I think we?ll be a deep group and will give people fits all year.?
On what he adds?
?I like to think I can stretch the defense a little bit. I like to run deep routes and take on smaller DB?s. There aren?t too many DB?s with my height and size so I try to use that to my advantage.?
On why he went to junior college?
?I was a walk-on at the University of New Mexico and when it didn?t go well, I went back to junior college where my father went. He told me to go in there, do my school work and play well and I?ll definitely get a scholarship. It might have been the best move I?ve ever made.?

On why he chose Kentucky?
?I came up here for the Tennessee game, it was snowing and there were still 70,000 in the stands. It was packed. The Pac-10 can?t compare to the SEC. The atmosphere and the way the fans show support every game, it?s big-time football and I realized that.?
On if he expects to come in and get playing time?
?Right now I?m just trying to get my body ready for the spring so by the time spring comes, I?m ready to compete and try to earn a spot. Everybody?s got to start new. I?ve got to earn my spot.?
On how competing in the spring helps get ready for the fall?
?That?s a big deal because it would be hard to come in during the summer and try to learn the offense. Now I?ve got time to come in here, watch film, talk to the guys and learn the plays.?
On what he knows about the offense?
?I know Coach (Ron) Hudson is bringing in an offense from (Kansas) State. I?ve been watching film of the K-State guys. I just want to get started. I?m anxious.?
On his high school and junior college?
?My junior year we were a great team. We won the conference for the first time in the school?s history. But then our coach left for a junior college job. He kind of left me hanging in the balance. I almost wasn?t going to play football in college. I was just going to go to school. I didn?t have any big offers. I had Division II offers but I didn?t want to do that. One of the coaches that worked at City College works at my high school. He told me that I should come over and try it and see how I like it. I ended up starting 22 games for them. And this past year we won the national championship.
?My mom didn?t want me to go to junior college. She wanted me to go to a four-year school. But I wanted to play still. So they had to get her to see that I could get a scholarship. She?s cool with it now.?

On why he chose Kentucky?
?I visited Troy State, East Carolina and UAB and I just felt like Kentucky was the best place for me. I felt there would be the best competition in the SEC.?
On what he does best on the field?
?What I do best is pass rushing. I like stopping the run, too, but I like pass rushing more.?
?I talked to all the coaches and Coach (Mike) Archer said he needed a good pass rusher. And he said I got off the ball pretty well.?
On Glenn Holt?
?I had known Glenn before. I talked to him and he told me Kentucky was a great place to be. So that?s one of the reasons I came up here was because I knew someone already.?
On junior college?
?I looked at it as a learning experience. My head coach knew the assistant coach at (Dodge) City (C.C) and told him ?Just send him my way and I?ll treat him well.?
?I was told it would be best to go to junior college to get used to the college life and get the learning experience on the football field. That gets you more built up for the next level.?
