The Kentucky women?s golf team sits in a tie for eighth place after two rounds at the 2004 Waterlefe Invitational in Bradenton, Fla. Eva Gessner and Erin Faulkner are both tied for 25th after a 36-hole total of 156.
The Cats performed well at the Waterlefe Golf Club on Monday, carding team scores of 312 and 314. UK currently is tied with host South Florida with a score of 626 and is two shots back from Central Florida.
Kentucky?s Emily Culbertson shot a 161 through 36 holes and is five shots back from Gessner and Faulkner in a tie for 49th. Katie Dixon and Marissa Muir are also competing in the tournament for UK, as each rounded out the first day of competition in a tie for 57th and 69th places, respectively.
Adrienne Millican of East Carolina leads the field after two rounds with a 146. Miami (Fla.) is atop the 15-team leader board with a cumulative score of 607.
