UK Cheerleading to Compete in UCA National Competition
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky cheerleading squad will compete in the Universal Cheer Association national championships beginning on Friday in Orlando.
UK will compete in two different competitions during the event. First up will be the Division 1A Game Day competition, with Kentucky competing at 2:19 on Friday afternoon. Finals for the Game Day competition will be on Friday night, and the winners will be announced late that evening.
Kentucky will begin competition in the traditional Division IA large coed division, which UK has won 24 times, on Saturday at 12:01 p.m. Finals for the large coed division will be on Sunday, with the winners announced Sunday evening.
Kentucky’s 24 UCA national titles are more than all other schools combined. Kentucky finished second in the large coed division in 2022.
