UK junior Jesse Witten fell victim to Stanford?s K.C. Corkery Wednesday for the second time in as many NCAA tournaments, as the sixth-seeded Witten dropped a 6-0, 7-6 decision to the 65th-ranked Corkery at the NCAA Men?s Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

Witten exits the 2004 tournament in the opening round of 64 after being eliminated by Corkery in the round of 32 a year ago in Athens, Ga. Witten ends the season at 33-10, and his standing as the tournament?s sixth seed earns Witten his third All-America selection in as many seasons.

Witten and senior Rahim Esmail begin the NCAA doubles competition Thursday when the Cats meet Brown?s Jamie Cerretani and Adil Shamadsin at 1:00 p.m. CT.
