Kentucky sophomore forward Elisabeth Jones has been selected as the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 13-19, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Jones assisted freshman Callie Lanphier on her game-winning goal Friday afternoon in the Cats? 1-0 victory against Missouri at the UK Soccer Complex. Jones has assisted on all three Lanphier goals this season and leads the team with six assists. She is on pace to break the school single-season assists record of 11 held by Annie Gage and Elizabeth Ramsey.

Jones, a Nicholasville native and Lexington Christian Academy product, has scored a point in four consecutive matches and six of seven matches overall. Jones also has two goals and has started all seven matches. She was named to the 2003 SEC All-Freshman team after recording three goals and two assists.
