Despite an overall better performance by the Cats the women continue to hold on to the fifth place spot at the UK Wildcat Fall Invitational. Elizabeth Dotson played well again today for the Cats finishing the day with an even round 72, tied for fourth in the tournament.
?Elizabeth Dotson played very well. She had a great round, she was three-under at one point and finished up even. With the way the course is playing, it?s tough out there so we were really proud of her,? UK head coach Stephanie Martin said.
Playing as an individual for the Cats, Marissa Muir fired (76-78) to land tied for 13th. For Kentucky Blue, Beth Felts is second for the team tied for 20th (76-81). Emily Culbertson sits tied for 41st after shooting an 84 for the second day.
?The rest of our team is really close to playing really well, but struggling on a few holes here and there. If we can get out the high numbers and get more consistent for all 18 holes they are going to play really well,? said Martin.
The Kentucky White team moved up three places, currently sitting in 9th at the UK Invite. Ali Kicklighter still leads the UK White team with a 78 second round, tied for 20th. ?The women look good and are excited about playing in a home tournament so hopefully they can put in a good round tomorrow,? said Martin
