Kentucky freshman Marcus Sundh and senior Jesse Witten will play for the doubles title at the SEC Indoor Championships Monday after scoring a pair of victories Sunday at the Rivercenter Racquet Club in New Orleans.

The redshirt freshman Sundh, a Stockholm, Sweden native, paired with Witten for an 8-5 quarterfinal victory over Mississippi State?s Ivan Bjelica and Florent Girod. The Wildcat duo dispatched Florida?s Jordan Dolberg and Ryan Sherry by an 8-4 count in the semifinals. Sundh and Witten will play Monday against the winner of Monday?s second semifinal.

Witten and junior Alex Hume fell just shy in their bids for the SEC Indoors singles title. The top-seeded Witten suffered a 7-6 (10), 1-6, 6-3 defeat to Georgia?s fifth-seeded John Isner in the quarterfinals. Hume scored a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Mississippi State?s Phillipe Frayssinoux in the quarterfinals but dropped his ensuing semifinal match to Florida?s Greg Oullette in a third-set tiebreaker.

Freshman Nolan Polley hung a 7-6 (4), 6-2 defeat on Tennessee?s Ben Rogers in consolation play.
