The Kentucky women?s basketball team looks to capture their first road win in conference play as the Wildcats travel to Athens, Ga., for a rematch with No. 18/19 Georgia Sunday, Feb. 6 in Stegeman Coliseum. Tip off is set for 2:30 p.m. ET and the game will be carried live on WLXG 1300 AM with Chris Cross.

UK (14-8, 3-4 Southeastern Conference) defeated No. 18 Georgia, 71-63, on Jan. 13 in Rupp Arena. It was the Cats? first win over a ranked opponent in five seasons and their first win over Georgia in eight tries. Freshman Sarah Elliott scored a team-high 15 points in the victory while freshman Sam Mahoney followed with 14. Senior Sara Potts added 11 points. The Wildcats are 1-3 vs. ranked opponents this season and 0-3 on the road in conference play.

?This rematch with Georgia will be a difficult test for us,? UK Coach Mickie DeMoss said. ?We played so well against them in our earlier meeting, and I hope to see that same intensity and enthusiasm from our team on Sunday. Georgia has improved since the start of conference play and it?s always tough to play on the road in this league.?

The Wildcats are coming off a 66-50 home win over South Carolina on Sunday. Potts led a trio of players in double figures with 17 points, Elliott followed with 16 points and sophomore point guard Angela Phillips added 14. Mahoney brought down a career-high 10 rebounds.

Potts is leading UK with 14.1 points per game, while Elliott adds 11.5 points per game and a team-high 35 blocks. Junior forward/center Jennifer Humphrey is bringing down a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game and Phillips has dished out a squad-best 86 assists.

Georgia (17-6, 6-3 SEC) is coming off a 72-63 victory over Alabama on Thursday as the Lady Dogs were led by freshman forward Tasha Humphrey?s 18 points, which included 7-of-12 three-pointers. Humphrey is averaging 18.9 points per game for the Lady Bulldogs and also is bringing down a team-high 8.4 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Cori Chambers is pouring in 13.5 ppg, while junior guard Sherrill Baker is adding 11.0 ppg.

Andy Landers is in his 26th season at UGA, his 30th season overall as a head coach. He has compiled a 709-216 record, becoming just the fifth major college women?s hoops coach to reach the 700-win plateau, joining Jody Conradt, Sue Gunter, C. Vivian Stringer and Pat Summitt.

The Lady Bulldogs lead the series 25-9 and own a 13-2 edge when playing in Athens, including five consecutive wins in Stegeman Coliseum. The Cats are looking for their first win in Athens since Jan. 23, 1994.

UK returns to Memorial Coliseum Thursday Feb. 10 vs. Florida. Game time is now 8 p.m. ET and the game will be carried live on WKYT-TV/UPN.
