MURRAY, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky junior varsity women?s golf team completed day one play in second place at the Big River Telephone Lady Racer Classic in Murray, Ky. Junior Erin Faulkner, who is playing as an individual, is currently tied for second at four-over-par (76). Rend Lake Community College?s Surtia Risseeuw is atop the leadboard at three-over-par (75).

Leading UK to a second-place first day finish were Alanna Silvertrust and Stacy Springer, both are tied for sixth. The duo shot a first round 81, while Emily Culbertson is tied for ninth after firing an 18-hole score of 82. Chapin Hoskins shot an 84 to end the first day of play tied for 12th. Laura Clemmons wraps up the five, tied for 20th.

Play will continue Tuesday at the Miller Memorial Golf Course. -UK-
