BATON ROUGE, La. ? The University of Kentucky women?s golf team finished tied for ninth Sunday at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La. The Cats shot a three-day total of 921 to end in a three-way tie with James Madison and intra-state rival Louisville. LSU led throughout the tournament and claimed top team honors with a three-day total of 879. Vanderbilt?s Chris Brady took home top individual honors firing 5-under-par at 211 (72-68-71) for the three-day event.

The Tigers (296-290-293) took the title by 17 strokes over Tulane 896 (302-297-297). North Carolina State 908 (303-301-304) claimed third, while Vanderbilt moved up one spot to finish fourth 914 (305-302-307). Mississippi State shot a team total of 915 (312-295-308) to finish fifth, while College of Charleston fell from fourth to sixth to end the tournament 917(309-297-311).

Junior Ali Kicklighter carded 7-over-par 223 (76-71-76) for the three days to finish tied for 13th. Freshman Beth Felts completed the three days with a score of 229 (77-75-77), to tie for 28th, while fellow freshman Elizabeth Dotson moved up 12 places, ending the tournament tied for 39th. Dotson posted a team low 75 for the final round, ending with a three-day total of 233 (79-79-75). Sophomore Katie Johnson carded a three-day score of 238 (81-78-79), while senior Katie Dixon concluded the tournament with an individual total of 248 (79-82-87). Sophomore Alanna Silvertrust, who played as an individual, finished with total of 242 (79-77-86).

The Cats return to action at the University of Georgia Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga., March 25-27. The Liz Murphy Classic is the last regular season tournament before Kentucky begins post season action at the SEC Championship.
