LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Two UK athletes competed in the junior 800 meter finals at the USA Track and Field Championships at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., Friday.

Sophomore Lavera Morris finished seventh in the women?s junior final with a time of 2:09.74, while fellow sophomore Stephan Smith took eighth in the men?s junior final, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:54.28.

Wildcat alum, Thomas Morgan, will take to the track at 11:15 p.m. EDT tonight in the men?s 5,000 meters.

Kentucky discus thrower Alek Grietens will compete on Saturday, June 25, at 4:45 p.m. EDT, while UK graduate Jeff Chakouian will compete in the Visa Shot Put finals on Sunday, June 26, at 5 p.m. EDT.
