Kentucky strong safety Muhammad Abdullah has been named first-team preseason All-America by CollegeSportsReport.com.

Abdullah was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference choice in 2003 and 2004, totaling 122 tackles, seven interceptions, seven pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries during those two seasons. He is a senior from Folkston, Ga. He is on the preseason watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Award (nation?s top defensive player) and the Jim Thorpe Award (nation?s top defensive back).
