Senior wide receiver Glenn Holt and sophomore defensive tackle Jason Leger have been cleared to play in Saturday?s game vs. Idaho State, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Holt sustained a neck injury in Sunday?s game vs. Louisville and has been allowed to return to action after precautionary testing. Leger sustained a sprained knee in practice in August and did not play in the opener.

D. Davis, B. Smith Earn Game-Captain Roles: Senior running back Draak Davis and junior cornerback Bo Smith have been selected as game captains for the Idaho State game, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Game captains are usually selected based on performance from the previous game. Davis was chosen for his work on special teams, as he made three tackles on punt and kickoff coverage. Smith had a career-high 15 tackles.

A. Smith, Moss, Schwindel are Scout Team Players of the Week: Three freshmen, running back Alfonso Smith, defensive end Austin Moss, and safety Michael Schwindel, have been chosen as Scout Team Players of the Week, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Smith (offense), Moss (defense), and Schwindel (special teams) were chosen for their work on the scout teams in helping the Wildcats prepare for the season-opening game vs. Louisville.

Turituri, Togafau are Cousins: Kentucky offensive tackle Fatu Turituri and Idaho State middle linebacker Pago Togafau (pronounced ?PAH-go toe-gah-FAH-oo?) are second cousins.

Turituri, a native Samoan, didn?t know his cousin until two years ago, when Fatu moved to the United States to play junior-college football. Togafau grew up in Long Beach, Calif.

?We spent the summer of 2004 together when I lived in Long Beach,? Turituri said. ?I helped Pago and his father build an addition onto their house.

?Pago and I got to be friends that summer. He?s quiet, a guy who cares a lot about his family. I haven?t talked with him a lot recently, although I have talked with his dad.?

Turituri acknowledged the likelihood of having to block his cousin on Saturday.

?We both have to play hard and do our jobs,? Turituri said. ?During the game, I?m a Wildcat and he?s a Bengal.?
