The University of Kentucky women?s soccer team continues its two-game Southeastern Conference homestand on Sunday, Sept. 25, when it hosts Arkansas at the UK Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
UK recorded its school-record fifth tie on Friday night in its SEC opener. The Wildcats remain the only undefeated team in the SEC with a 4-0-5 overall record and a 0-0-1 mark in SEC play.
UK is now 5-7-1 in SEC openers and is winless in 12 straight overtime games. The Wildcats have ended in a tie five times in nine games this season, which sets a new school record. The Cats had tied four times in 2003 when they went 6-9-4 on the year. This season, UK has tied with Michigan State (1-1), Cincinnati (1-1), at Ohio State (1-1), Western Kentucky (1-1) and most recently LSU (1-1).
Arkansas is 3-5 on the year with a 0-1 record in SEC after falling 5-0 at Vanderbilt in their league opener on Friday night in Nashville.
This marks the 11th meeting between the Cats and Lady Razorbacks. UK owns a 7-2-1 advantage in the all-time series. The last two games with Arkansas have gone to overtime, including a 1-1 tie in Fayetteville last season. UK had won six straight meetings prior to the tie in 2004.
