With the season just over a week away, the Victory Club, Kentucky women?s basketball?s booster club, held its annual preseason ?Tip Off? event Tuesday, Oct. 25 in the UK Student Center Small Ballroom on the UK campus. Over 250 people were in attendance.

The event, held each fall, provides an informal mixing of players, parents, coaches, managers, support staff and athletics personnel with Victory Club members to celebrate the beginning of a new season.

Kentucky play-by-play announcer Neil Price and head coach Mickie DeMoss were among the speakers at the event, which included a live and silent auction. Over 25 items were included in the silent auction and the live auction with auctioneer Tom Biederman, included courtside seats to UK Hoops? games against Tennessee and Louisville in Rupp Arena with a limousine ride. The live auction also included dinner for 10 with Coach DeMoss which raised over $2,000. Approximately 25 items were included in the silent auction. The Victory Club was established in 1995 to promote, encourage and maintain fan support through the cooperation and enjoyment of its members.
