Woodson, Begley are Game Captains for Vanderbilt: Quarterback Andre? Woodson and kicker Taylor Begley have been named game captains for the Vanderbilt game, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.
Game captains are usually selected based on their performance from the previous game and normally include a special-teams representative. Against Auburn on Saturday, Woodson completed 26-of-43 for 335 yards, all career highs, plus one touchdown. Begley made both field goal attempts and all three extra points, moving into third place on the UK career scoring list with 201 points.
Woodson (Radcliff, Ky.) and Begley (Danville, Ky.) will join permanent captains Muhammad Abdullah and Tommy Cook for the coin toss. This is the second time this season that Begley has earned the game-captain honor.
Bowling, Buckvar, Cecil are Scouts of the Week: Quarterback Blake Bowling, cornerback Nick Buckvar, and wide receiver Anthony Cecil have been named Scout Team Players of the Week, Coach Rich Brooks has been announced.
Bowling (offense), Buckvar defense), and Cecil (special teams) were chosen for their work on the scout teams in helping Kentucky prepare for its game against Auburn. For Buckvar and Cecil, it is the second time this season that they have been chosen scout team player of the week.
Kentucky at Georgia Chosen by JP: The Kentucky at Georgia game on Nov. 19 has been chosen for live regional telecast by Jefferson-Pilot Sports. Game time will be 12:30 p.m.
This is Kentucky?s first appearance this season on JP Sports. The UK-Georgia game will be a split regional telecast along with the Vanderbilt at Tennessee game.
