The Kentucky Rifle team returns from a month-long break on Saturday when it competes at the Palmyra Invitational.
The Wildcats have been off since the first weekend of December when they knocked off West Virginia. The win improved UK to 2-1 in Great American Rifle Conference action.
Freshman Jason Dardas has anchored a solid line up for Kentucky. The Exxesville, Mich., native leads the Wildcats with a 587 smallbore average and a 583 air rifle mark. Junior Amy Sowash has a matching 583 air rifle average.
The meet is a homecoming for UK senior Vicki Goss, a Palmyra native. Last season, Goss fired a team-best 580 on smallbore and was second on the squad with a 576 air rifle score in the meet.
