Freshman Natalie Rubinstein has been nominated by the coaching staff as UK ?Gymnast of the Week?. The native of Hollywood, Fla. tied fellow teammate Krystle Cook for first in the all-around competition (38.975) in last weekend?s Wildcat victories over Illinois State and Southeast Missouri State at Memorial Coliseum. Rubinstein placed third on vault (9.825), sixth on bars (9.7), second on beam (9.725) and third on floor (9.725). Rubinstein currently ranks tied for first on the team in all-around competition and second in vault average. As a team, the Cats improved to 3-0 with two victories last Saturday. Despite the wins, the Cats fell two places to No. 15 in the national rankings. This weekend, Kentucky opens Southeastern Conference competition when it hosts Auburn, Friday, at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum. The meet will be designated the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Meet.
