CHARDON, Ohio ? The University of Kentucky men?s golf team is 13th after carding a second round score of 302 (+18) to stand at 593 (+25) with one round left to play. The Wildcats slipped seven spots at the NCAA Central Regional which is being played at the Sand Ridge Golf Course in Chardon, Ohio.

The Wildcats stand 28 strokes behind Oklahoma State who leads the 27-team field with a two-round total of 565 (280-285). Northwestern is second at 574 (281-293), followed by Texas A&M who is a stroke behind at 575 (284-291). Lamar is fourth at 581 (286-295), while Minnesota (291-292) and Georgia Tech (295-288) are tied for fifth with identical scores of 583.

Lexington native Tyler Wilson continues to lead the Cats after shooting a one-over par 72 to match his first-round performance. Powered by four birdies, Wilson jumped 11 spots in the individual standings and is now tied for 14th with a score of 144 (72-72).

Freshman Dan Woltman fired a 76 (+4) in the second round of play to tie for 38th with a total score of 148 (72-76). Senior Matt Kohn turned in a four-over outing of 75 to bring his score to 149 (74-75) and is tied for 49th. Brad Doster shot a 79 to bring his total to 155 (76-79), while Andy Winings rounds out the scoring for the Cats with a score of 157 (73-84).

The regional concludes tomorrow, May 20, with the top 10 teams and two individuals not on those teams advancing to the NCAA Championships, May 31-June 3, at the Crosswater Golf Club in Sunriver, Ore.
