LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior tailback/punt returner Rafael Little and sophomore free safety Marcus McClinton have been named game captains for Saturday’s game vs. Ole Miss.
Game captains are usually chosen based on their performance in the previous week’s game. In last Saturday’s win over Texas State, Little (Anderson, S. C.) rushed 12 times for 91 yards and one touchdown, caught three passes for 39 yards, and returned six punts for 148 yards. His 148 punt-return yards is the second-highest single-game mark in school history. He totaled 278 all-purpose yards vs. the Bobcats. This is the fourth time in Little’s career, and the first this season, that he has been named game captain.
On defense, McClinton made two tackles and grabbed an interception that set up the first score of the game. This is his first game-captain honor. Little and McClinton will join permanent captains Keenan Burton and Lamar Mills for the pregame coin toss.
