On the No. 14 ranked men?s team earning a second seed in the CUSA Tournament ?

?I am the ambassador for soccer today. The men?s team is on their way to Tulsa on a bus. I don?t know how they can contain [Men?s soccer head] coach Collins for seven or eight hours on a bus. They had a great season and we are very excited about coach Collins leading his team into the tournament as the second seed and have a great opportunity to move into the NCAAs.?

On how the team has progressed ?

?As for us, I stood up here about a month ago not knowing where we would go, how we would end up, or what we were doing. I think these young ladies have really showed that they have found out how to win. They are very young, we start one senior – Anne Ogundele. The backcourt consists of two freshmen and two sophomores, so I am very excited for what they future holds for this group. We are excited to be the second seed in the conference. In the last RPI, our conference was fourth in the country, so these young ladies have achieved a great deal and every coach wants their team to come together come tournament time.?

On their first-round match against Ole Miss ?

?We play Wednesday against Ole Miss, at 12 p.m., the first match of the SEC tournament. It is a little reversal of fortunes for us, last year we were the seventh seed and Ole Miss was the second seed, so I am sure that emotions will be running high for that first round match. On the difference in the 2007 squad ?

?Our defending has been the difference this season. Anne Ogundele has 13 shutouts in 20 matches. She has a .48 goals against average which leads the league and I am sure she is up there in the country. Our defense, I mean we have given up 10 goals in 20 games, so that has been the major difference.?
