LEXINGTON ? Days after scoring its biggest win of the season ? a 5-2 victory over No. 26 Harvard ? the Kentucky women?s tennis team held on to its spot in the top 25, coming in as the 21st-ranked team in the nation, it was announced Tuesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Wildcats are a perfect 6-0 on the season, matching the best start for the program in the past 20 years. Included in the run is the win over Harvard as well as a victory over Marshall, ranked 58th in Tuesday?s poll.

Leading the way for UK has been senior Joelle Schwenk, who is perfect in the dual season, including a 6-1, 6-0 win over the 80th-ranked player in the nation in the Wildcats victory over the Crimson. She has been matched by freshman Sarah Woestmann, who is a perfect 6-0 in her collegiate career, with three of the triumphs coming by way of a 6-0, 6-0 blanking.

Kentucky has also proven to be formidable in doubles, winning the crucial point in all six matches. The Wildcats doubles teams are 16-2 in doubles dual matches.

Kentucky returns to action Sunday, when it faces No. 37 Indiana in Bloomington, Ind. The match is the third in a stretch of four straight on the road.
