BATON ROUGE, La..–The University of Kentucky women?s golf team bettered its day two score after the second round of the LSU/Cleveland Classic in Baton Rouge.

Kentucky improved 11 strokes from its 330 opening round, to shoot 319 in the second day but holds 21st place with a single round remaining. UK is just one shot behind Ole Miss and six behind Memphis its closest competitors. The nation?s top team, Duke, leads the field with a 10-over-par team score through two rounds.

Junior Beth Felts notched the best round two score of the day for the Blue and White shooting a 76 in day two. Felts opened with an 84, and now stands in a tie for 73rd place after starting the day in a tie for 91st.

Freshman Erica Still, who led the Wildcats after the first round, shot a second-day 81 after opening with an 80. Still falls to a tie for 81st. Senior Marissa Muir upped her position in the standings to a tie for 92nd with her classmate Katie Johnson. Muir and Johnson fired day two scores of 80 and 82, respectively. Junior Elizabeth Dotson rounds out the UK scoring with a 97th place standing after carding an 84.
