The Kentucky men?s golf team will hit the road this weekend as it heads to the third annual Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament begins on Sunday, March 25, and continues through Tuesday, March 27, at Bulls Bay Golf Club (par 71, 7,147 yards) in Awendaw, S.C.
The Wildcats have won the tournament the past two years and will look to repeat as champions against a strong 15-team field. South Carolina, Wake Forest, UCF, Augusta State, North Carolina, LSU, NC State, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, College of Charleston, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Arkansas and Duke will all join UK in Awendaw. Five of those teams are ranked in the latest Golfweek Poll, including No. 11 Coastal Carolina, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 22 Duke, 24th-ranked Wake Forest and 25th-ranked Florida State.
Andy Winings, Cale Barr, Alex Volpenhein, Brad Doster and Ben Fuqua make up the roster for the Wildcats this weekend. UK is still looking for its first win of the spring season.
