Upcoming events such as the Women?s Clinic, Kickoff Luncheon, and Fan Day help Kentucky football fans get ready for the 2007 season.

The Women?s Football Clinic is set for Saturday, July 28, at the Nutter Training Center. The clinic is designed for women with all levels of football knowledge. Head Coach Rich Brooks and Wildcat assistant coaches make short presentations, followed by question-and-answer sessions. Your day with Wildcat football also includes a behind-the-scenes look at football facilities, autograph opportunities, a catered lunch, and vendors with special UK items for browsing and shopping.

The tentative schedule features:

8:30 a.m. – Registration begins
9:30 a.m. – Welcome by Coach Rich Brooks
9:45 a.m. – Introduction of Football Staff
10:15 a.m. – Cats on the Road
11:00 a.m. – Break
11:10 a.m. – Kentucky defense
11:40 a.m. – Kentucky offense
12:15 p.m. – Lunch / autograph session
1:15 p.m. – Kentucky special teams
2:00 p.m. – Clinic raffle
3:00 p.m. – Commonwealth Stadium
3:45 p.m. – Two-minute warning (wrapup session)

The annual Kentucky Football Kickoff Luncheon, presented by Kroger, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Lexington. The event will go from noon ? 1:30 p.m. and will include Coach Rich Brooks as the featured speaker, plus the highlight video from the 2006 Music City Bowl championship season.

Fan Day for Kentucky football is slated for Sat. Aug. 4 at Commonwealth Stadium. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., when posters and schedule cards will be given away. The first 2,000 fans will receive a coupon for a free hot dog and drink (redeemable on Fan Day only).

There will be special activities on the stadium concourse. The giant inflatable games will be available for young Wildcats. An equipment stand will be set up and fans can try on UK helmets and shoulder pads. UK athletic trainers also will have a station, demonstrating ankle taping and other activities.

Coach Brooks and the team will be introduced at 7:15 p.m., followed by an autograph session with the Wildcat coaches and players. The autograph session ends at 9 p.m. and the event concludes with a fireworks show.
