Kentucky has advanced in the top-25 national polls following the 43-37 triple-overtime victory over then-No. 1 ranked Louisiana State.
The Wildcats moved from No. 17 to No. 8 in The Associated Press media poll. UK improved from No. 18 to No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches poll. Kentucky advanced from No. 18 to No. 11 in the Harris Interactive poll.
Kentucky has been listed in the national polls for five straight weeks, first breaking into the rankings following the win over Louisville. The last time UK was in five consecutive polls was during the 1977 season.
UK is now 6-1 on the season, 2-1 in Southeastern Conference action, and will play host to Florida on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
UK Makes Debut in BCS Poll: The first Bowl Championship Series Poll of the season has been released and Kentucky makes its all-time debut at No. 7.
The BCS poll is a mathematical formula that uses three components ? the Harris Interactive poll, the USA Today Coaches poll, and an average of six computer rankings (Anderson & Hester, Richard Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Kenneth Massey, Jeff Sagarin, and Peter Wolfe). UK is No. 11 in the Harris Interactive poll, No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches poll, and No. 4 in the computer rankings average.
The BCS poll is used to determine the two teams that play in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game, along with the Rose Bowl presented by Citi, Allstate Sugar Bowl, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, and FedEx Orange Bowl.

Warford Injured, Out at Least Two Weeks: Sophomore cornerback Paul Warford has sustained a fractured collarbone and will be out for at least the next two games (Florida and Mississippi State), Coach Rich Brooks has announced.
The injury was sustained late in the LSU game on Saturday. Warford has started all seven games for the Wildcats this season. He has made 24 tackles, leads the team with five pass breakups, and has one interception. Sophomore E. J. Adams is slated to start in Warford?s spot.
