The Kentucky women?s soccer team (8-6-3, 2-6-1 SEC) will celebrate their six seniors on Sunday as they host the Ole Miss Rebels (6-6-5, 3-3-3) in a crucial SEC match-up at the UK Soccer Complex.

The Wildcats have rolled up an 8-5-2 record on Senior Day including a 1-0 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores last season. Kentucky will say good-bye to seniors Caitlin Coughlin, Kelsey Fenix, Sarah Gaunt, Megan Jones, Callie Lanphier and Kate Rowlands.

Together they have combined to win the 2006 SEC Tournament Championship, while appearing in the league?s postseason tournament each year, making an appearance in the 2006 NCAA Tournament and amassing a record of 36-31-14.

Not to be lost in the celebration is the importance of the match. The Wildcats currently sit in ninth place in the SEC while the top eight teams make the tournament. Kentucky has scored seven points in conference play (three points for a win, one point for a tie) while the Rebels sit in seventh place with 12 points and the Vanderbilt Commodores, against whom the Cats close their season out against next weekend, sit in eighth place with eight points.

Kentucky is 8-4-1 all-time against the Rebels including a 1-0-1 mark against Ole Miss last season. The two teams played to a 0-0 draw in Oxford during the regular season before Kentucky defeated Ole Miss 3-2 in the first round of the SEC Tournament.

The Wildcats come into the match on a three-game unbeaten streak posting wins over Arkansas and Mississippi State with a tie against then No. 24 LSU sandwiched in between.

Kickoff between the Cats and the Rebels is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. with Senior Day ceremonies taking place prior to kickoff. Live stats are available at UKathletics.com.
