LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will play host to its annual Blue-White Meet at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Memorial Coliseum to kick off the 2008 season, head coach Mo Mitchell announced Monday. Admission for fans is free and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The intrasquad meet will be the start of an exciting home schedule for the Wildcats in 2008, as five of the six teams traveling to Lexington during the regular season were ranked in the final top 25 poll a year ago. Kentucky ranked sixth in the nation in attendance last season with an average of 2,819 fans per home meet, after finishing 21st nationally in attendance the year before.
Season tickets (reserved seats) for Kentucky gymnastics are available now for just $10 each by stopping by the UK Ticket Office in the Joe Craft Center, or by calling toll-free at (800) 928-2287. Single-meet tickets are available beginning in December and on meet day at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office.
