The University of Kentucky women?s soccer program has announced the dates of its 2008 College Prep Camp, to be held on campus at UK.
The camp, which will introduce female players to all aspects of the collegiate game, is a two-day program to be held Saturday, March 1 to Sunday, March 2.
Campers, ages 14-18, will receive instruction from head UK women?s coach Warren Lipka and assistant coaches Erica Whatley and Matt Kellogg. Together the coaching staff will instruct campers in a variety of areas, including: strength and conditioning for the top college soccer player; technical and tactical training sessions; 11-v-11 and small sided competitive games; and specialized goalkeeper training. Campers will also have extensive use of UK athletic facilities.
In addition to the on the field training, Lipka, Whatley and Kellogg will use their 30 years of Division I experience to answer questions about today?s recruiting process and academics for student athletes.
