LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The 26th-ranked Kentucky women?s tennis team (3-0) looks to remain perfect against in-state rival Louisville on Wednesday, as it hosts the Cardinals at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex at 1 p.m.
Kentucky is undefeated against the Cards all-time, posting an impressive 14-0 record, including last season?s 6-1 win at Louisville, while the Cardinals come into the match fresh off a 5-2 win against Michigan State on Saturday.
This past Sunday, the Wildcats took all six positions against then No. 23 Michigan. Sophomore Sarah Woestmann, freshman Megan Broderick, sophomore Whitney Spencer and freshman Alaina Trgovich each swept both their doubles and singles matches.
A win this Wednesday will mark the second consecutive year Kentucky?s women?s tennis team has started the season 4-0, and the sixth time in school history.
