LEXINGTON, Ky. — The No. 20 Kentucky baseball team, fresh off a sweep of the 23rd annual Coca-Cola Classic in Mobile, Ala., opens its home schedule, beginning a 15-game homestand with Oakland, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Game time was originally scheduled for 4 p.m., Tuesday and 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, but the threat of inclement weather on Wednesday forced the scheduling of a doubleheader on Tuesday, with the first game starting at 1 p.m. ET, and the second game starting at approximately 4 p.m. ET.

Kentucky (3-0) opened its season in dominating fashion in Mobile, Ala., plating 10 or more runs in each of its three wins. The Wildcats opened up with Xavier on Saturday, riding the pitching of Chris Rusin and home runs from Sawyer Carroll and Bryan Rose to a 10-1 win. In the first game of a twin-bill on Sunday, UK topped Fairfield 13-3 in a run-ruled game, highlighted by the superb pitching of preseason All-Southeastern Conference selection Scott Green. In game two with host South Alabama, in what amounted to the Coca-Cola Classic Tournament championship game, Collin Cowgill capped a six-run inning with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, powering UK to a 10-3 win over the tradition-rich Jaguars.

Preseason All-American Collin Cowgill and Brooks Wallace National Player of the Year Watch List member Sawyer Carroll paced UK offensively during the weekend. Cowgill finished with 4-for-14 (.308 average) over the weekend, cranking out a double, triple, and a home run, driving in five RBI, swiping 2-of-2 bases and drawing three walks. Carroll tallied six RBI, a .444 average, a home run, and two doubles.

Fans can catch the action live on the Big Blue Sports Network (radio) with Neil Price calling the action. The game can be heard live on UKathletics.com, or in Lexington on WXRA 1580-AM.

The Wildcats will seek its second consecutive win over the Golden Bears, having played them for the first time in school history in 2007, a 9-3 win at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
