LEXINGTON, Ky. — The 2007 University of Kentucky football advertising campaign and the UK football team intro video have received awards from the Lexington Advertising Club.
UK’s “Believe in Blue” ad campaign, promoted through a combination of print, television, radio, and billboards, received a “Gold Addy” award from the LAC in the mixed-media campaign division.
The intro video, played as the team ran onto the field just before kickoff, received two honors ? a Gold Addy in the elements of advertising category and a “Judge’s Choice” award, signifying that the video was a judge’s No.-1 choice among all categories.
The “Believe in Blue” ad campaign and intro video were produced by Cornett IMS in collaboration with UK Athletics Marketing Office. Additional companies and individuals honored for their contributions to the projects include:

Spring Football Calendar: Practices are open to media and fans. Practices held at Nutter Training Facility unless noted otherwise. For practices at Nutter, fans should stand behind the ropes in the porch area. Fans may sit in the stands for practices at Commonwealth Stadium. Practices might be moved indoors to the Nutter Field House in case of bad weather.

Player Update: Here is an update on the status of some current players as the Wildcats head into spring practice:
Cornerback Paul Warford has been reinstated to the team. Warford has been under suspension for violation of team rules.
Linebacker Brandon Thurmond has reinjured the knee that was hurt last spring and will miss all of spring practice. He is expected to return when practice resumes in August.
Defensive end Jeremy Jarmon had arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss approximately two weeks of spring practice.
