LEXINGTON, Ky. – Starting linebackers Braxton Kelley, Johnny Williams and Micah Johnson, cornerback David Jones and free safety Marcus McClinton, who are recovering from injuries, are expected to be available to play at Florida on Saturday, although none will be 100 percent recovered, Coach Rich Brooks said after Thursday morning’s practice.

Brooks also said that offensive tackle Justin Jeffries, who has missed the last three games because of a knee injury, has sustained a setback and will not play at Florida.

Kentucky wrapped up on-field preparation for the game with a two-hour practice in sunny, but chilly weather at the Nutter Training Facility.

The Wildcats (5-2 overall, 1-2 SEC) play the Gators on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Gainesville. The game will be a live regional telecast on Raycom Sports.


Cat Walk Set for 10:15 a.m.

: Fans traveling to the Florida game can participate in the “Cat Walk” on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. Fans desiring to greet the Wildcats as they enter Ben Hill Griffin Stadium should go to Stadium Road and line up on the ramp leading to Gate 15.

Brooks to Participate in “Coach to Cure”: Coach Rich Brooks will participate in the campaign for “Coach to Cure Muscular Dystrophy” by wearing an armband during Saturday’s game to promote the event.

The goal of “Coach to Cure MD” is to raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which primarily affects young boys of all races, and raise financial support for research on the disease.
