Gretchen Giesler, a middle blocker from St. Charles, Ill, has played in 16 sets this season. She has recorded six blocks and 11.5 points so far for the Wildcats. Giesler comes to Kentucky as a top recruit, ranking No. 80 of the nation’s top 100 seniors by PrepVolleyball.com.

When did you start playing volleyball?

In the seventh grade.

What goals do you have for yourself and the team this season?

I want to train like a champion and assist the team to NCAA tournament success.

When everyone is responsible for their individual jobs, and helps each other get the job done. If everyone can accomplish the little things then they will be successful together.
