UK falls to 5-5 while Louisville improves to 9-1.
This was the 45 th meeting between intrastate rivals Kentucky and Louisville. The Cats lead the overall series 28-17 but now trail 9-12 when the game is played in Louisville.
UK is 68-29 all-time and 1-1 this season against teams in the Big East conference. The Cats defeated Cincinnati on Nov. 17 in Memorial Coliseum, 58-55.
The U of L game marks UK’s 1,000 th contest in school history. UK is 564-436 in 35 years of varsity women’s basketball.
UK is 0-2 against ranked opponents this season. The Cats also fell to No. 23/21 Xavier on Dec. 2.
The Wildcats return home for a four-game home-stand beginning with Alabama A&M on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. ET in Memorial Coliseum.

The starting lineup of Carly Morrow, Eleia Roddy, Amber Smith, Amani Franklin and Victoria Dunlap is 1-2 this season.
The Cats out-rebounded the Cards 39-34. UK has either tied or won the rebounding in all but one game (Long Island) this season.
Four Wildcats scored in double-digits Roddy (13), Dunlap (12), Morrow (14) and Watkins (15) for the fourth time this season. Kentucky is 3-1 when four players score 10 or more points.
Kentucky’s Achilles’heel was its turnovers today. The Wildcat charted a season-high 26 miscues, resulting in 23 Louisville points.
UK outscored U of L’s 15-8. Reserve Lydia Watkins led UK with 15 points.
Kentucky improved its field goal percentage to 44.7 percent (21-of-47). It was the first game to shot over 40 percent since netting a season-high 55.6 percent vs. Yale on Nov. 28.
The Wildcats held Louisville to 41.4 percent (29-of-70) from the floor, including 19.0 percent from beyond the arc (4-of-21). The Cats have held all 10 of their opponents to 50.0 percent shooting or less this season.

Senior center Eleia Roddy grabbed her seventh career, third season and second consecutive double-double with 13 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Carly Morrow earned her third career start while charting a career-high 14 points.
Junior Lydia Watkins returned to the line-up after sitting out the past two games (ETSU and Furman) to rest a stress reaction in her leg.
- Watkins also led the Cats with 15 points, hitting 6-of-6.
- She sunk a career high-tying two three-pointers and tied her career-high in steals with two.
Sophomore point guard Amber Smith played a career-high 38 minutes.
Sophomore Victoria Dunlap was one of four Wildcats to score in double-digits with 12 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds.
Senior point guard Carly Ormerod did not see action for the fourth-straight game due to soreness in her left foot. Ormerod, who missed 16 games last season with the same injury, has sesamoiditis and turf toe in her left foot. She also did not play against ETSU, WKU or Furman.
