LEXINGTON, Ky. – After consecutive weekends on the road, the No. 31 Kentucky men’s tennis team returns to the friendly confines of the Boone Tennis Center for its only match at home this month. The Cats face Morehead State at 9:00 a.m. ET Saturday before they challenge Indiana at 4:00 p.m.

UK (4-2) is looking to get back on the winning track after a road loss at No. 5 Virginia last weekend. Freshman Alex Musialek earned the lone point for the Cats at UVA. Musialek jumped out to a quick lead in the first set and closed it out 6-2 over Virginia’s Steven Eelkman Rooda. In the second, Musialek broke Rooda’s serve to go up 4-1 en route to a 6-3 win.

The Wildcats have two singles players ranked nationally in No. 4 Bruno Agostinelli and No. 37 Eric Quigley while the doubles pairing of Agostinelli and sophomore Brad Cox stands at No. 13.

Last season, the Cats swept Morehead State, 6-0, in Lexington. The Eagles (2-1) defeated Western Kentucky 6-1 their last time on the court. Junior Greg Anderson leads Morehead State at the No. 1 singles slot, while sophomore Bradley Bryan lines up at No. 2. Together the pair forms the Eagles’ No. 1 doubles team.

No. 64 Indiana (5-5) defeated UK, 4-3, last season in Bloomington after securing the doubles point and winning points at No. 1, 3 and 6 singles. The Hoosiers slipped seven spots in the poll last week after halting a five-match losing skid, four of which were one-point defeats, against Georgia State with a 7-0 sweep.

IU is a young squad with just one upperclassman. The Hoosiers are led by sophomore Lachlan Ferguson at the No. 1 singles position while classmate Santiago Gruter suits up at No. 2. Gruter and freshman Jeremy Langer make up Indiana’s top doubles tandem.
