Lexington, Ky. – A huge crowd turned up for Fan Day at Commonwealth Stadium yesterday. The team and coaches were introduced, and head coach Rich Brooks addressed the fans before a long autograph session on the field with the players and coaches. Though no official attendance counts are taken for Fan Day, staff estimates of several thousand would put the numbers at or near the largest Fan Day ever. In addition, More than 1600 fans donated school supplies which will be distributed to students in Fayette County as part of back-to-school festivities this week.
