LEXINGTON, Ky. — After toppling No. 19 Illinois-Chicago Friday night, the Kentucky men’s soccer team has been ranked No. 25 in the latest top-25 poll, released Monday morning by Soccer America.

Kentucky (4-0-0) is in the top 25 for the first time since finishing the 2008 season ranked No. 21. UK has rolled to an unbeaten start to the 2009 campaign, extending its school-record unbeaten streak to 14 games, dating back to October of 2008.

The Wildcats have scored 10 goals in four games, allowing only three, totaling a 0.75 goals-against average. UK freshman midfielder Matt Lodge has done the majority of the scoring for the Wildcats, totaling three goals and an assist in his first four collegiate games. Tyler Burns joins Lodge as a multi-goal recorder, also adding an assist.

UK is also receiving votes in the College Soccer News top-30, with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 and the Soccer Times coaches top-25 to be released later in the afternoon.

The Wildcats return to action Wednesday, hosting Alabama A&M at 7 p.m. ET at the UK Soccer Complex.
