Wildcats Advance to 21st Sweet 16

After posting two of its most impressive displays this season in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, the Wildcats make their 21st appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 taking on the Cornell Big Red.

The Wildcats earned a berth in the regional semifinals with a 90-60 win over Wake Forest in the second round in New Orleans.

Led by a career-high 20 points, and a season-high nine rebounds from Darius Miller, Kentucky shot 60.3 percent from the field, tying its season high en route to the victory.

DeMarcus Cousins (19), John Wall (14) and Eric Bledsoe (13) all joined Miller in double-figures, while Cousins added eight rebounds, Wall seven assists and Bledsoe five assists and two steals.

Bledsoe finished the two games in New Orleans averaging 21 points, while hitting 9-of-12 (.750) from three-point range. Wall averaged 15.5 points to go along with 9.0 assists.

Patrick Patterson (13.0), Miller (12.5) and Cousins (12.0) also averaged double-figures in the two games.
