LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 11th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s tennis team discovers Tuesday details on its selection to the 2010 NCAA Championships when the field is announced from 5-6 p.m. ET on ESPNews.
The 64-team field begins play on campus sites May 14-16. The round of 16 through the finals will take place May 21-25 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
The Wildcats enter the tournament with a 23-8 record, their most wins in a season since the 1992 squad finished 24-5 overall en route to finishing sixth at the NCAA Championships. UK has won 12 of its last 14 matches and owns five wins against teams ranked in the nation’s top 16.
Kentucky will be seeking an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships after losing to No. 18 Ole Miss 4-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Southeastern Conference Championship on April 23.
