ATHENS, Ga. — Due to heavy rains in the Athens, Ga., area on Friday, the second game of the Southeastern Conference series with Kentucky and Georgia, is currently in a rain delay at Foley Field.
The tarp is on the field and the rain is estimated to end around 6:30 p.m. ET, with a possible starting time after 7 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to UKathletics.com for more information.
Kentucky (30-24, 12-16 SEC) suffered an 8-6 loss in the series-opener Thursday, with Georgia getting a career-best outing from junior right-handed starting pitcher Justin Grimm. UK allowed all eight Georgia runs in the first four innings, with the Wildcats late rally falling just short, with Georgia lefty Justin Earls notching his first career save.
