LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky freshman forward Tyler Riggs, a native of Louisville, Ky., has been named to the listing of the top 100 freshmen to watch in collegiate soccer, it was announced by CollegeSoccerNews.com.
Riggs, a St. Xavier product, was named one of the 100 freshmen to watch during the 2010 NCAA men’s soccer season. A 5-foot-9, 145-pounder, Riggs emerged as a contender for playing time on a young but talented UK team this season after netting a goal in his first career appearance in a Kentucky uniform, in an exhibition win at Dayton. In a win over Marquette in the final exhibition game of the season, Riggs created a chance inside the box but had his shot saved in the sixth minute.
