LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fresh off its doubleheader sweep of Miami (Ohio) and Eastern Kentucky, the Kentucky women’s tennis team is ready to take the courts again Saturday morning for a match with border-state rival Indiana at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center at 10:30 ET.

The Cats (2-6) hold a 2-1 record at home this season, including a 4-3 win over Miami and a 7-0 sweep of EKU where the Wildcats did not drop a single set against the Colonels.

Led in singles by senior Megan Broderick, sophomore Jessica Stiles and freshman Caitlin McGraw, the Cats have gotten strong performances at the 1-3 positions. Broderick, Stiles and McGraw each have four wins in the dual-meet season.

Freshmen Khristina Blajkevitch and Cece Witten each picked up the first two singles victories of their careers last weekend, with Blajkevitch dropping just four games in her two wins.

Broderick has found success in doubles play as well. The Tampa, Fla., native has won twice with Stiles at No. 1 doubles and has won twice with Blajkevitch at No. 1 doubles, including a win against the No. 13 doubles team in the country at Purdue.

The all-time series against Indiana is a tight one with Kentucky holding a slight 17-16 edge over the Hoosiers. Indiana won last year’s meeting in Bloomington, Ind., 5-2, and Kentucky won the matchup in 2009, 6-1.

Indiana enters the match with a 9-2 record and No. 37 national ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.

As always on the weekends, parking in garage No. 7 will be free to the public. Live results from Saturday’s match against Indiana can be followed at UKathletics.com.
