LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lisa Faulkner, who closed out her final year of eligibility with the University of Kentucky in the spring, finished in second place on the women’s platform Sunday at the USA Diving National Preliminaries Zone A held in Christiansburg, Va.
Faulkner had already qualified for the platform competition at the AT&T National Diving Championships by finishing in fifth place at the NCAA championships in March, but still decided to compete in the zone A preliminaries. In the quarterfinals of the competition, Faulkner registered a score of 282.65, entering the finals in first place. In the finals, Faulkner finished with a score of 274.65 to finish in second place overall.
