LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team (8-2-0, 1-1-0) has reached new heights this season checking in at 12th in the first official release of the NCAA RPI.

The ranking is the highest ever in program history.

The Wildcats have already played seven teams in the top 100 of the RPI in 2011 posting a 5-2 record.

Kentucky wraps up its longest road stretch of the season this weekend, traveling to Columbia, S.C., and Gainesville, Fla. At the conclusion of the current five-game road trip, Kentucky will have played No. 4 Florida, No. 5 Auburn, No. 22 Dayton, No. 38 Alabama and No. 46 South Carolina in its last five matches.

Additionally, the Southeastern Conference has nine teams in the top 50 in the NCAA RPI, and 10 including future SEC member Texas A&M.
