LEXINGTON, Ky. – Four members of the University of Kentucky Women’s Tennis team have been selected to compete in the USTA/ITA Women’s Tennis Ohio Valley Regional’s this weekend. The tournament is hosted by the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tenn. 

Competition begins on Friday afternoon with qualifying rounds for both doubles and singles play. Saturday morning, the main draws begin with doubles matches and singles play follows in the afternoon. Depending on how far the UK members make it in the tournament, play could last until Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The four players selected were junior Jessica Stiles, sophomore Khristina Blajkevitch, and freshmen Stephanie Fox and Edmee Morin. All four players have put on some of UK’s strongest performances in fall tournament play thus far and are looking find success this weekend.

Meanwhile, five other wildcats will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. for the 24th Annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama. Sophomores Caitlin McGraw, Misha Testerman and CeCe Witten, along with freshmen Lyndsey Pickett and Grace Trimble will compete in both doubles and singles play.

The tournament begins on Friday morning at 9 a.m. ET with doubles play and should last until Saturday afternoon. If there are any issues with weather, matches will be moved to Sunday.
