Kentucky is 7-0 and St. John’s is 5-3.
Kentucky leads the series, 11-5, and is 169-73 all-time against teams from the Big East.
UK returns to action with a home game Saturday, at Noon against No. 5 North Carolina. The game will be televised on CBS.

Kentucky started with the lineup of Marquis Teague, Doron Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Terrence Jones and Anthony Davis for the sixth-straight game.
Despite struggling from the field and hitting just three of its first 14 shot attempts, Kentucky’s defense went to work, forcing 11 turnovers, including five shot clock violations.
The Cats, as a team, had 10 blocks, including seven from Anthony Davis.
Trailing 4-5, UK went on a 12-0 run for a 16-5 lead. Four different Wildcats scored during the run and UK never trailed again.
It was the third time this season Kentucky held an opponent to 20 points or less in the first half.
Kentucky led 31-20 at halftime.

Kentucky went on a 7-2 run to start the second half with five straight points from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
UK led by at least 15 points the final 12:56 of the game.

In its 109th season of basketball, Kentucky is the NCAA’s all-time wins leader with 2,059 wins.
The Wildcats extended their home winning streak to 38 games, including the 2009 NIT game at Memorial Coliseum and the last 37 games at Rupp Arena.
UK is a perfect 37-0 under Coach John Calipari at Rupp Arena, the longest win streak in venue history.
UK owns a 463-60 all-time record in Rupp Arena.
UK is 54-1 under Calipari when holding an opponent to 67 points or fewer.
UK has held all seven opponents below 38 percent from the field this season.
UK owns a 155-24 all-time mark as the top-ranked team (AP) in the country, including a 63-2 mark at home.
Coach Calipari is 43-6 as the top-ranked coach in the country.
Terrance Jones hit the first 3-pointer of the game for UK to extend the Wildcats’ made 3-point streak to 794 consecutive games. That streak is the third-longest in the nation.
- Jones has made a 3-pointer in every game he’s attempted one this season.
Since the 2000 season, Calipari-coached teams have posted a 191-19 record at home.
The Wildcats set a new school record for blocks in a single game with 18. The previous record was 17 vs. Morehead State on Nov. 20, 1997.
Kentucky’s size also helped control points in the paint, 40-22.
UK forced St. John’s into six shot clock violations, five in the first half. The Cats totaled 10 shot clock violations all of last season.
Tonight’s attendance was 24,119, the second-highest of the season.

Terrence Jones led the Wildcats with a season-high 26 points.

Anthony Davis had 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and second consecutive.
- First player to record consecutive double-doubles since Terrence Jones vs. South Carolina on Feb. 19, 2011 (17 points/10 rebounds) and Mississippi State on Feb. 15, 2011 (17 points, 10 rebounds)
- His 15 rebounds is the 10th most by a freshmen (tied with several others)
- Swatted a career-high eight blocks, including five in the first half
Doron Lamb scored 16 points, his fifth double-figure scoring output of the season.
Darius Miller dished out a career-high tying six assists.
Marquis Teague pulled down a career-high five rebounds.
