LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky men’s soccer team will hold an alumni weekend during the UK Invitational, set for Friday-Sunday, Sept. 7-9, it was announced by UK head coach Johan Cedergren.
“We are thrilled to welcome our alumni into town,” Cedergren said. “It is important for us to connect with our alumni and we want them to be a part of our program. We will have several great events over the course of the weekend and it will be a wonderful opportunity for our staff and student-athletes to fellowship with some of the players who have helped build this program over the years.”
The weekend will kickoff with the men’s soccer home opener on Friday, Sept. 7 vs. St. Joseph’s at 7 p.m. ET at the UK Soccer Complex. Following the game, UK soccer will host a dinner opportunity for its alumni.
The UK football team will host Kent State on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Commonwealth Stadium. Before the game, UK soccer will host a tailgate, starting at 5:30 p.m. ET for alumni.
On Sunday, the Wildcats tangle with the NCAA’s runner up, No. 4 Charlotte, at 2:30 p.m. ET at the UK Soccer Complex.
