LEXINGTON, Ky. — In the midst of the fall practice season, the Kentucky baseball team will host three six-inning scrimmages over the weekend, UK head coach Gary Henderson announced.

Kentucky will split into intrasquad teams three times on the weekend, starting with a 2:15 p.m. ET first pitch on Friday at Cliff Hagan Stadium. On Saturday, UK will play an intrasquad at 9:45 a.m. ET, before UK’s football game with Mississippi State. The weekend will conclude with a six-inning scrimmage on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan. All of the times are subject to change due to weather.

The Wildcats started the fall practice season on Sept. 21 with a five-inning scrimmage and have been participating in team practice each week. UK’s fall practice season will conclude with an annual Fall World Series, with dates and times to be determined.

Kentucky is coming off its most successful season in program history, claiming a school-record 45 wins and charting its best finishes in Southeastern Conference and NCAA Tournament history. UK was led by SEC Coach of the Year Gary Henderson, SEC Freshman of the Year Austin Cousino, consensus first-team Freshman All-America two-way star A.J. Reed and All-SEC starting pitcher Corey Littrell in 2012.
