Tim Letcher is in his 10th season as the website coordinator, as well as the media relations contact for STUNT, Cheerleading and the Dance Team, for UK Athletics.

An award-winning writer, Letcher also manages feature story content that appears on UKathletics.com.

He spent 11 years at Host Communications/IMG College from 1999-2010, starting by covering high school sports, then eventually moving to the college ranks. Letcher managed websites for NCAA Football, the Southeastern Conference, as well as Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas. Letcher continued to manage the SEC and NCAA Football sites, as well as working on the Big East website, while at XOS Digital.

Letcher began his career in media relations while studying at Morehead State University. Letcher was a student assistant, graduate assistant and eventually became the first full-time assistant SID in Morehead State history.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehead State in 1993 and a master’s degree from MSU in 1995. He has two sons, Russell and Rex.
